Been working at LohGuanLye Specialist Centre's oncology department. Observed how the whole process works, so the patient has to go for a blood test and a pet-ct scan where they have radioactive sugarlike substance injected into their body via IV and the scan reveals where the abnormal sugar intake cells are which are most likely the cancerous cells.

The radiologists then analyses the data and points out where the tumour is and the area most likely affected and notifies the oncologists(doctors) where they will draw out the parts that requires treatment. The physicists will then be notified to start on planning the treatment with the oncologists. After everything is confirmed the plan will be sent to the radiographers to execute the plan for treatment of the patient.

Sounds simple, but the real work is like damn complicated.

Really lucky of me to be able to follow both oncologists in LohGuanLye Specialist Centre , DrKevin Hew and Dr Mohd Amir. Learnt quite a lot of stuff about the the job and how their work is done.

Working in the oncology department has it's ups and downs. Seeing those patients who recovered coming back for check-ups thanking the doctors is really heart warming. However, witnessing those whom even the doctors are pessimistic about their condition and still smiling and treating them normally.

A particular patient got my attention. He's got a 20 cm tumour from under his lungs all the way down near his kidney. He had trouble moving and pains searing through his body as he lies down for the pet scan and treatment, having to inject doses of morphine.

Yeah, post work depression is not fun at all.

According to German research published in New England Journal of Medicine, men staring at women's breasts in fact prolong their lives with years.

"Just 10 minutes of looking at the charms of a well-endowed females is equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out," said author Dr. Karen Weatherby, a gerontologist.

The team led by Weatherby was made up of researchers at three hospitals in Frankfurt, Germany, and found this results after monitoring for 5 years the health of 200 male subjects, half of whom were asked to look at busty females daily, while the other half had to abstain from doing so.

For five years, the breasts oglers presented a lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates and decreased risk of coronary artery disease.

"Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. There's no question: Gazing at large breasts makes men healthier. Our study indicates that engaging in this activity a few minutes daily cuts the risk of stroke and heart attack in half." said Weatherby, who even recommends that men aged over 40 should spend at least 10 minutes daily admiring breasts sized "D-cup" or larger.

1. Fine:
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2. Five Minutes:
If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3. Nothing:
This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with Nothing usually end with Fine.

4. Go Ahead:
This is a dare, not permission. Do not do It!

5. Loud Sigh:
This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of Nothing.)

6. That’s Okay:
This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. That is okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7. Thanks:
A woman is thanking you, do not question or faint. Just say: “You are welcome.”

8. Whatever:
Is women’s way of saying …

9. Don’t Worry About It, I Got It:
Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking “What is wrong?”

Forgiveness

I would like to shed some light on forgiveness because it is such a broad topic; however, we often take it for granted.

We go through a lot on a daily basis. We make mistakes, we have arguments, we say uncalled for statements, we hurt others, we act selfishly … etc. I think you get my point. Yet being able to forgive is important. In fact, it is crucial. And when I say forgive, I mean actual forgiving that comes from within.

I have had my share of unpleasant experiences. Even though people learn from their own experiences, it is not enough to simply learn the practical lesson and stop there. Life should not be viewed rigidly. I think many people tend to forget about the humane part of them considering the lifestyle we are living, which lacks intimacy and closeness in relations between people.

I am writing this post today, and in my mind are images of literally hundreds of people who were mistreated by me ever since I became a teenager who is responsible for his words and actions. I know that ‘hundreds’ sounds like a lot, but note that I am counting for multiple years of a person’s life, both intentional and unintentional, small and big mistakes. I am not, in any way, implying that I am a bad person. I am simply owning up to things. Some mistakes are more harmful than others, and accordingly, they have lesser or greater effects on people.

The point is: In a moment of anger, common sense goes out the window. And we are left with the damage that should be fixed by none but ourselves. It takes guts to admit to your mistakes since people like to think of themselves as good and even above others. Still, taking a moment to look back and think twice does not hurt. I wish I could apologize for doing wrong to people, but sometimes realizations come too late. So my next goal is to improve my moral character, let go of the bitterness, and not hold grudges. I am a person who finds it extremely hard to forget a bad memory when someone has hurt my feelings, but I also believe that people are good by nature and therefore, they deserve second chances.

Put yourself in other people’s shoes, you never know when you make someone’s day up with a simple gesture. After all, you are the one who benefits the most from having a clear conscience and a heart empty of worries.

How to create an iTunes Account

Today, Rayne called me and asked me about how to create an iTunes account.

I decided to post this up here so that others can create an iTunes account in the easy way,unlike me having to grope in the darkness during my time...

These are the steps:

Step 1:Go to the iTunes Store

Step 2: Choose iTunes Account Type

Choose either “Create New Account” or enter you existing Apple or .Mac ID or AOL screename

Step 3: Sign Up for iTunes Account

If you’re creating a new iTunes account from scratch, the first screen you’ll see will ask you to agree to the iTunes Store's terms. Do so.

Step 4: Enter iTunes Billing Information

Next, enter the information for the way you want to pay for purchases at the iTunes Store. This can be a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account. Be sure to enter the billing address for your card and the security code from the back.

Step 5: Done But Not Quite

Congratulations! Now you’ve got an iTunes account and you’re ready to shop! Well, almost. There’s one more setting you should change.

Step 6: Change iTunes Account Purchase Settings

To control how you buy things from the iTunes Store, you need to change a setting.

On a Mac, do this by going to the iTunes menu at the top right of the screen and choosing Preferences.

On a PC, go to the Edit menu and choose Preferences.

After you’ve done this, choose the Store tab. In that tab, the first options you have are to buy from the iTunes store using One-Click or a shopping cart.

One-Click shopping means that you’ll just click a “buy” button in the store and automatically be charged and download the song.

Shopping cart means that when you click the “buy” button, your purchase will be added to a shopping cart that you can review and edit before you check out and pay.

One-Click is more convenient, but it also charges you right away, so if you like to think about purchases or have an itchy trigger finger, you may want to choose the shopping cart.

Once you’ve made your selection click “OK” and you’re ready to shop!

And voila!

You've got your own iTunes account...Happy Downloading softwares and applications into your iPods!!!
